Catch Me If You Can

Chance has always loved to follow me around.  Usually he just walks behind me or next to me around the barn or in the field, and other times he prefers doing this….(the bandage on his hind leg is a treatment to get rid of pastern dermatitis or “scratches” which you can read more about in my previous posts).

I spoke to another vet who assured me that his symptoms were related not to epm but to cervical spine issues. She felt that after two months of medications for epm symptoms would have dissipated completely or worsened. Neither occurred. The material I read about epm also suggested that while 50% of horses will have the epm Protozoa only 1% would have symptoms that would require medication.
